In terms of those quests, repeating them on four chars is farming, on six+ chars is grinding. I did them on two chars - first run to see the lore behind the quests, the other to help out my fiancee - also gave the ToTs away.
So yes, i am impressed by your grinding.

Tip for getting into the mausoleum
Just pre-prot yourself from a hero and shadowstep to the entrance.

Loved the quests and the dialogues, but got a bit disappointed by all that hype and 'perhaps next year' outcome.

Getting money isn't hard, its just time consuming. And time consuming is sooooo boring.

It's a game. Is it bad that people are happy?

On a side note, this let me give stacks of ToTs to my casual playing friends who were busy doing other things or working

Lol the repeatable quest with farming skellies was a bit too much I see. Many of my guildies also got some huge ammounts of tot stacks.

I had no room for all of that. My first tabs are filled with dedicated miniatures, since that Mahk idiot won't make me copies of mine like the hat maker no matter how much I ask him.

Luckily, the secret laboratory effect helped me tacking care of some stuff quickly to make room for more.

I really enjoyed the new quests. It was rewarding to the Altoholic PvE'rs that bothered to make all the professions(like myself) and play through the campaigns. It also felt less grindy than farming skele's or Raptor/Veattir Farm. And most importantly it was fun.

I have had my consumable titles for quite some time, and feel its time for the more casual player to have a chance at those titles as well. So, the generous rewards given by the quests was a nice bonus. And, I get to sell all my stuff for profit(minus the Candy Apples/Corn I'm hording for myself). Win-Win if you ask me.

I was very lazy this year and just did the Elonian quests across all of my characters (I have a lot!). That alone gave me a crap load of ToT's, but honestly at this point I'm kind of just sitting on all this cash and realizing that I don't really have a strong desire to buy anything in particular or chase anymore titles. I kind of feel like Conan the Barbarian at the end of the movie, just sitting on my throne of wealth all alone...

So yes , when i look at how many ToT bags stacks people did ( not even doing costume brawl/GvG , simply by repeating quest 24/7) , i wonder where's the logic ....

Answer to the thread : those quests were too easy to do and not really fun ( mausoleum , just kill 5 mobs each 2 steps...) . However , thanks for trying to do something new at least...

Do agree!

The new quests were awesome fun! I really enjoyed the story. It was also nice to be able to do it with friends. The old quests are fun, but sort of boring just because you're alone. :/

They were easy, but personally, that's not a turn-off. I'm more interested in hearing new story and new lore than being introduced to a new brick wall (hello, my name is Battle for Lion's Arch) to have to slam through. Especially since we're all itching to get ready for GW2.

Not to mention, I think people forget that Guild Wars isn't completely full of veteran players. There are still new players that are joining every day. It'd be unfortunate to introduce new festival quests that they couldn't partake in because it's too hard. These are festival events after all, not endgame content.

Bravo! I hope to see more new quests next year!

With our guilds almost daily UW run, we were able to cap 35+ skeletons each time and one extra stack for killing dhuum. ToTs were great and all but the new quest was OK.

I felt the quest didn't have an ending and that we were only doing them for tots.

I love how half the responses to this thread are "lol noob I got more ToTs than you". Way to miss the point guys.

I agree with, OP. Well-done Anet, I really enjoyed this Hallowe'en as well

I too loved the new quests. I wish that they were all a little bit harder. Maybe making the rewards for HM better? Perhaps instead of 50 Tots a quest could give 25 Tots and 25 more if done in hard mode?

Still, I was very happy with the content and ended up with a lot of bags myself.

Thank you Anet for the new Halloween Quests, especially the Mausoleum one - fantastic job, you have managed to get my excitement to levels not reached since 2005! But Regina says it was "unintended"... LOL!!!

As for the ToT bags, I got more than enough last year (the group skeleton capping was easily the most fun I've had in PvE for years), so this year I didn't actively pursue them, haven't even got to the 3 new quests in Nightfall. Still got around 8-9 stacks from all the various activities, even GvG.

I like how the Halloween quests gave me a few k worth of party, sweet, and drunkard points without spending a single plat with only a couple of hours on each day of the festivities.

really fun stuff! my only disappointment was about the unnamed lich in Droknar's Forge that ended up doing nothing. Besides that, i was SO STOKED to finally enter the area behind 'Ole Rotscale!

This means GW2 is just around the corner. ANet is trying to get people to max up their HoM fast.
